season "Citadel of the Arts" from Peleș Castle is preparing a new, special cultural experience for the public through the third concert of the season, entitled "Tribute to Dinu Lipatti".

The event will take place Saturday, May 25, 2019, from 4:00 PM, at the Peleș Castle Concert Hall. The guest will be the famous pianist Madalina Pasol who impressed with his recent concerts at the Great Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum or at the National Library of Romania.

Mădălina Pașol will pay a moving tribute to the greatest Romanian pianist by reinterpreting the works that were part of Dinu Lipatti's last recital at the Besançon Festival on September 16, 1950.

And on this special occasion, the opening of the evening will be marked by presentation of a new valuable object from the heritage of the Peleș National Museum.

The concert program will include works by Mozart, Schubert, Chopin and Bach. The recital will be made even more spectacular by inviting ballerinas Denisa Anastasiu and Relu Dobrin,  soloists of the "Ion Dacian" National Operetta Theater. The artists will offer choreographic moments of great sensitivity, inspired by Frederic Chopin's waltzes.

Mădălina Pașol has performed as a soloist or in chamber ensembles with world-renowned artists. After graduating from the “George Enescu” High School of Art, she obtained a scholarship to study at the University of the Arts in Berlin, in the class of prof. Georg Sava and then in the class of prof. Pascal Devoyon. For outstanding merits, she obtained the “Nachwuchs Förderung Stipendium – NaFög” scholarship of the German Cultural Senate, offered for Master courses, as well as the Concert Pianist diploma.

Mădălina Pașol's artistic activity has been recognized through awards, scholarships, and diplomas at national and international competitions: the NaFög scholarship of the German Cultural Senate, the Paul Hindemith Foundation scholarship, the Berlin University of the Arts scholarship, the scholarship for doctoral studies at the Bucharest University of Music, the Georg Schumann Foundation scholarship, the Feruccio Busoni International Piano Competition, the ARD International Competition – Munich, the Grand Prix – Târgu Mures International Concert Competition.

Since 2014, Mădălina Pașol has been dedicated to promoting young talents, Romanian artists and national cultural values regionally and internationally within the Institute of Arts that she leads. Among the cultural initiatives are “Pianina – Play me – CANTA!” in collaboration with Metrorex – Bucharest and the educational concerts within the Music Film Festival 2015 organized by ARCUB. The Institute of Arts became, shortly after its establishment, a cultural institution that promotes art and culture in unconventional spaces.

Mădălina Pașol has given master classes, concerts and recitals in Europe and Asia.
