On the occasion International Music Day 2024 The Association for Music, Art and Culture, in partnership with the National University of Music in Bucharest, the National Art Center "Tinerimea Română" in Bucharest, "George Enescu" National Museum in Bucharest, Transilvania University Multicultural Center in Brașov, Vibrate Festival Brașov, Paul Constantinescu Cultural Association in Ploiescience, the Peleș National Museum in Sinaia, the Criș Land Museum in Oradea, the University of Oradea – Faculty of Arts, the West University of Timișoara, Seat Romania and Austrian Cultural Forum in Bucharestknow, presents the national tour "ROMANIAN YOUNGG VIRTUOUS". Thus, between October 3 and 11, 2024, musicians and cultural figures: Rodica Vica – soprano (Austria/Romania), Martiniana Antonie – mezzo-soprano (Germany/Romania), Stefan Cazacu – cellist (Romania), Diana Ionescu – piano (Romania), Vlad Maistorovich – composer (Romania) and Dana Deac – journalist (Romania), come together to pay tribute to Romanian composers, proposing to the public a unique project that brings to light lesser-known and performed pieces. Also, a novelty of this tour is The cycle of three songs on lyrics by Noemi Marin forvoice, cello and piano specially composed by musician Vlad Maistorovici. The program includes pieces by George Enescu, George Stephănescu, Tiberiu Brediceanu, GheRase Dendrino, Paul Constantinescu and Vlad Maistoroivici. Through the "Romanian Young Virtuosos" project, the Association for Music, Art and CultureUm aims to inspire the young generation and promote the national musical heritage, offering an unforgettable artistic experience to the Romanian public.

About the tournament: Romanian Young Virtuosos is a project intended to present to the general public lesser-sung or even unknown Romanian works, but especially to encourage young Romanian musicians,started on the path to continue his training, taking as an example the youthful period of the Romanian composers of the 20th and 21st centuries. Through his generous gestures of supporte the young musicians of his time, through awards, promotion, mentoring and even financial aid for those in need, George Enescu is a model for us and also an inspiration for this project. The project focuses on the younger generation, especially the one in the musical field, being a project that brings together young Romanian musicians, already with an international career and who bring a manifesto for the even younger generation of musicians in Romania, also aspiring to an international career. This proiect is the result of research by soprano Rodica Vică carried out in libraries and archives in Bucharest and Vienna. The project promotes an eclectic repertoire, including the youthful works of Romanian composers presented in new arrangements for two voices, cello and piano. Also, violinist and composer Vlad Maistorovici created The cycle of three songs on lyrics by Noemi Marin for voice, piano and cello, a cycle that will be presented in its national premiere during the tour.

RODICA VICA is an exceptional soprano, appreciated for the expressiveness and versatility of her voice, being considered one of the most promising artists of her generation. She debuted on the stage of the Bucharest National Opera in 2010, performing leading roles in landmark operas such as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni by WA Mozart, Rita by G. Donizetti, Rosina in The Barber of Seville by G. Rossini and Alcina by G. Fr. Haendel. From Mondaythe end of his career, Rodica Vică has won numerous awards at prestigious competitions, including the First Prize at the International Baroque Music Competition "La Stravaganza" in Cluj-Napoca, the Second Prize at the Romanian Radio Competition "The Road to Fame" and the Award for the best musical interpretation within the "Ion Dacian" Trophy for young performers. The soprano's artistic activity includes collaborations with important orchestras and philharmonics both from Romania and abroad. Among her achievements, noteballs are include the world premiere of George Enescu's oratorio The Ghosts with the Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin at the Konzerthaus Berlin, under the baton of conductor Gabriel Bebeșelea, and appearances at prestigious events such as the OTP Bank Gala at the Bela Bartók-Müpa Hall in Budapest, Canto Barocco at Teatro La Fenice, and Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria with the Accademia Bizantina. Rodica Vică has also performed in innovative projects such as La Lumiere Comique at the Budapest Early Music Festival and BarRockIN' Transylvania with the Musica Ricercata orchestra. Other important engagements include the performance of JS Bach's Matthäus Passion under the baton of Cristian Măcelaru at the Romanian Athenaeum and Poemes pour mi by Olivier Messiaen with the Transylvanian Philharmonic, conducted by Cristian Mandeal. The soprano was also invited to participate in the events organized as part of the Oedipus Month in London, including an evening preceding the premiere of Enescu's opera at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. Her projects recently include an international tour dedicated to the music of George Enescu, the modern premiere of the opera La Foresta D'Hermanstad by Valentino Fioravanti and the performance of the role of Zima in the baroque opera Indiile galante directed by Andrei Șerban. The young mezzo-soprano MARTINIANA ANTONIE She began her musical journey as a student at the "Octav Băncilă" National College of Art in Iași and later as a student at the National University of Music in Bucharest, during which time she was also a scholarship holder of the Young Talents program of the FundațiHer Royal Highness Princess Margaret of Romania. Martiniana's first foray into the world of Opera took place in 2017, at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro, when she debuted as a student of the renowned Rossini Academy "Alberto Zedda". After this success, she returned to the Rossini Festival as a guest in five other productions, the last appearance being this year, in the opera "Ermione". In 2018, Martiniana became a member of the Opera Studio of the National Theater in Mannheim, where for three years she will enrich her repertoire and experience.Martiniana has won numerous national and international awards, including: Winner of the prestigious AsLiCo Competition in Como; Winner of the "JeunesEspoires” in Avignon, France and 2nd Prize at the In CompetitionInternational "George Enesco" in Paris. Throughout her career, Martiniana had the privilege of collaborating with famous artists, singers and conductors, such as: Carlo Rizzi, Michele Mariotti, Giacomo Sagripanti, Gabriel Bebeselea, Alexander Soddy, Dmitry Korchak, Juan Diego Florez, Pretty Yende and Graham Vick. Last season, the young mezzo-soprano could be seen on the stage of the Roman Athenaeum during the Royal Concert and on the opera stages of the Ancona Theater in the role of Carmen from the opera “La tragedition of Carmen", of the National Theater in Mannheim and Prague in the role of Cherubino from the opera "Le Nozze di Figaro" and at the Rossini Festival. STEFAN CAZACU is a Romanian virtuoso cellist, recent laureate of important international competitions. In 2022 he won the 1st prize at the International Danube Festival – Donaufest (Ulm, Germany) and the 3rd prize at the George Enescu International Competition (2020-2021 edition). Coming from a family of famous musicians, Ștefan benefited from a solid musical education from an early age. He studied at the National University of Music in Bucharest and in Vienna, where he perfected his technique and artistic expressiveness. His talent was recognized in international competitions, winning prestigious awards, including the Liezen Competition (Austria) and the Antonio Janigro Competition. (Croatia), as well as the Grand Prix at the national selection for the Eurovision Young Musicians Contest (2010). Ștefan Cazacu has performed on numerous international stages including the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Philharmonie in Paris, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. In Romania he has been applauded at the Romanian Athenaeum, the Radio Hall and the Bucharest National Opera. Throughout his career he has collaborated with all the major symphony orchestras in Romania, includingiv with the George Enescu Philharmonic, the National Radio Orchestra and the Radio Chamber Orchestra. He has also performed with the Chisinau Philharmonic and the Alicante Youth Orchestra. He has been accompanied by renowned conductors such as Cristian Mandeal, Horia Andreescu, Cristian Măcelaru and Theo Wolters. Ștefan Cazacu is also dedicated to pedagogy, teaching since 2020 at the National University of Music Bucharest and the Dinu Lipatti National College of Arts. In parallel, he holds masterclasses and shares his experience with young musicians, and in addition to his solo activity, he collaborates with the ensemble Cellissimo, founded by his father, Marin Cazacu, with whom he performed in cities such as Brussels and Washington DC. In 2018, Ștefan Cazacu participated in his first national tour, together with his family, as part of the project Classic to the third power, an initiative that brought together members of three generations of the Cazacu family on stage. DIANA IONESCU, the pianist recognized for "imposing pianistic skills and mature musicality"(Musical Pointers), to noteby performing masterpieces from multiple eras, from the Baroque of Scarlatti and Bach, to the classical purity of Mozart and Schubert, to the grandeur of romantics and moderns such as Schumann, Rachmaninov and Stravinsky. Winner of the Grand Prize at the 2001 George Enescu International Piano Competition, Diana Ionescu enjoys an international career as a soloist, chamber musician, pedagogue and festival director. He has received awards such as the Alexis Weissenberg Prize, the EWLE Mozart Prize Best Live Recording and Second Prize at the Missouri Southern International Piano Competition. He has given recitals and concerts on prestigious stages, including Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Royal Festival Hall, Romanian Athenaeum and Merkin Hall in New York. He has collaborated with renowned conductors, including Peter Stark, Paul Daniel and Gabriel Bebeșelea, and has performed with prestigious orchestras, such as the “George Enescu” Philharmonic, the National Radio Orchestra and the Guildhall Symphony Orchestra. Diana Ionescu is the founder Vibrateate!festival in Brașov, an event that brings together innovative artists in an interdisciplinary format that refreshes the experience of classical music. In addition to her artistic activity, she teaches at the National University of Music in Bucharest and offers masterclasses at international festivals. Born in Câmpina into a family of musicians, Diana Ionescu began studying piano at the age of 7 with Sanda Bobescu. After studying at the "George Enescu" High School and the National University of Music in BucuAfter graduating, under the guidance of Maestro Dan Grigore, she continued her training at the Birmingham Conservatoire and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. She was mentored by great masters such as Viktor Merzhanov and Alexis Weissenberg. Diana is currently completing the recording of the complete Mozart piano and violin sonatas, together with violinist Vlad Maistorovici, and coordinates the educational program Music+ in Câmpina, which brings concerts and innovative workshops for students.

VLAD HÎRLAV MAISTOROVICH, Romanian violinist, composer and conductor. Hîrlav Maistorovici's compositions are sought after and appreciated. "Attractive and resounding" (Musical America), full of "vivid contrasts" (London Financial Times) and characterized by "plasticity of expression", his music appears in the repertoire of some orchestras and artistand world-class. Reflecting his experience as a performer, his worksare as diverse as the artists and institutions for which they were commissioned: from "the wonderful whirlwind of sounds" (The Classical Reviewer) in Halo for orchestra (commissioned by the London Symphony Orchestra), or the ironic dadaism of REM!X (Vampire Dream) (commissioned by the International New Music Week festival), to the rhapsodic ConcertoTransylvania (premiered by Dmitry Sitkovetsky and the New Chamber Orchestra) European Strings, and commented by the newspaper Adevărul as "a new Romanian Poem"), Maistorovici "hits a special note" (The Daily Telegraph). In 2012, the Cultural Institute Romanian from London opened the season with a concert entitled Night Music: the chamber works of Vlad Maistorovici. In 2023 Maistorovici conceived and directed the show Metamorphoses: a musical journey into the world of MC Escher at the Kunstmuseum in The Hague together with the New European Ensemble and the video artists' collective DeFrame on the occasion anniversary of the great Dutch artist, which brings together the music of Bach, Webern, Pärt andMaistorovich inin a "musical/visual spectacle par excellence, a very pleasant concert, with a brilliant conception and execution” (ArtsTalk Magazine). In 2024 he conducted with the Orchestra of Radio Chamber his work Mic tesseract Harmonic and composed the work BACH, passacaglia for solo violin, the essential work in the repertoire of the violin section of theGeorge Enescu International Competition.
DANA DEAC, journalist. From the beginning of 2007 until 2014, she held the position of Director of TVR 1. She is still a TV producer at the public station. Between 1998 and 2006, she was a reporter, executive producer and presenter at the television stations Antena 1 and Antena 3, during which time she received numerous awards for her journalistic activity. Since 2013, she has been the president of the Orange Romania Foundation and for two years she has been the ambassador of the Oncology Patient Support Association. In 2023, she founded the Language Matters project, which is dedicated to training the critical thinking of young people in Romania. Dana Deac was decorated by King Mihai I of Romaniashe is awarded high distinctions of the Royal House of Romania: "Nihil Sine Deo" and "Cross of the Royal House of Romania". She is a graduate of the Faculty of History and Philosophy, Philosophy-History Section and a doctoral student at the Doctoral School of Philosophy at the University of Bucharest.
