"PianoImpro Show”, at Peleș Castle

Saturday, October 14, 2017, from 4 p.m., a unique recital in the Romanian musical landscape will take place, at the end of The Sound of Music Season", event organized at Peles Castle by the Union of Interpretive Creation of Musicians from Romania and the Peleș National Museum.

Pianist Lucian Velciu proposes a unique and attractive approach to classical music hits, as well as rock and pop hits.

In the Music Hall of Peleş Castle, attractive piano arrangements of pieces from the repertoire of: Clodplay, Queen, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson, but also opposites imagined by Mozart and Paganini.

Pianist Lucian Velciu He began studying piano at the age of 5. His teachers were Anca Borina (Music School No. 4) and Constantin Niţu (Dinu Lipatti High School 1987 – 1990 and George Enescu High School 1990 – 1994). He gave recitals on various stages: the Luxembourg University of Music, the Studio Hall of the Romanian Athenaeum in Bucharest, the George Enescu National Museum, the Constanţa Art Museum, the Mogoşoaia Palace, the Peleş Castle, the Radio Hall, etc. Lucian Velciu participated in the professional development program at the Pro College (1998-2001) and in a summer course (July 2002) held in Luxembourg by pianist Dana Protopopescu. The pianist has won the laurels of several competitions: the 2nd prize at the Carl Filtsch Sibiu International Piano Competition – 1997 edition, the 1st Prize and the Grand Prize at the Pro Piano Competition – 2001, Bucharest. His presence on the concert podium began during his university studies when he gave various recitals. He was invited to shows on Radio Romania and TVR, produced by Iosif Sava, Rodica Sava and Ivona Cristescu, and after 1998 he gave recitals in television shows on PRO TV.
