Bourbon Jazz Unit , a band made up of Georgiana Popescu – vocals, Alexandru Șveț – piano and Ciprian Parghel – double bass, will support Saturday, October 6, from 4 p.m., the last jazz concert in The “Sound of Music” Season, 10th edition, event organized by the Peleș National Museum and the Union of Interpretive Creation of Musicians from Romania, in the music hall of Peleș Castle.

The event is part of the ambitious project "100 years in 100 concerts" organized by the Union of Interpretative Creation of Musicians from Romania, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and National Identity and the Administration of the National Cultural Fund.

Bourbon Jazz Unit  began its journey in 2007, as an instrumental ensemble headlined by pianist Alexandru Șveț. The subsequent addition of the solo voice allowed for a new, personalized sound.

The ensemble performs in the most diverse spaces, from classical concert halls to clubs or even shopping centers, museums and libraries, both in Bucharest and in the country (Sibiu, Braşov, Sighişoara, Reghin, Cisnădie, Odorheiu Secuiesc, Târgu Mureş, Bistriţa, Galaţi, Iaşi, etc.). Among their most notable appearances are the International Jazz Festival – Târgu Mureş, Brasov Anniversary Jazz Night in Council Square – celebrating 775 years since the first documentary attestation, the ICon Arts Festival – Sibiu, SIMN 2010 – International Week of New Music – Bucharest, the concert season of the Pitești Philharmonic or the Summer of Jazz and Poetry in Mogoșoaia.

Bourbon Jazz Unit are the winners of the jazz stage of the competition show "The Road to Celebrity" produced by Radio Romania Cultural in 2010.
