One of the most renowned figures of the current historiographic phenomenon, historian Georgeta Filitti will give a premiere lecture at PeleÅŸ Castle, on October 27 this year, about Interwar Romania, between light and shadow, one of the topics very dear to His Majesty.

A graduate of the Faculty of History of the University of Bucharest, PhD of the University of Cluj, Georgeta Filitti carried out a fruitful research activity within the "N. Iorga" Institute of History of the Romanian Academy, at the section of modern and contemporary history of Romania. Between 1997-2004, she was a counselor of the "Ion Ghica" Foundation, then librarian and head of section at the Metropolitan Library of Bucharest. Since 2007, she has returned to her first love, research, working within the innovative framework of the National Institute for the Memory of Romanian Exile.

Author of over 400 articles published in specialized magazines in the country and abroad, of numerous conferences on various topics, from aristocratic genealogy, diplomacy and social life to personalities of the interwar world and royal residences, Georgeta Filitti never ceases to amaze us with her innate oratorical talent and extraordinary erudition.

A pleasant presence in today's media and a successful editor, Georgeta Filitti has built over time the image of a historian deeply attached to the sources of national culture. Starting in the 1970s, she collaborated in editing the works of great figures of historiography, such as M. Kogălniceanu, N. Iorga, IC Filitti, Ion Bălăceanu, etc.
