Competition winners "The road to fame"... at Peleș Castle

Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 4 p.m., the winners of the 7th edition of the "Road to Fame" Competition give a recital at the The Sound of Music Season", event organized at Peles Castle by the Union of Interpretive Creation of Musicians from Romania and the Peleș National Museum.

In the Music Hall of Peleş Castle, you will be able to listen to two of the most valuable musicians of the young generation: cellist Konstantin Borodin, the winner of the 1st prize at the 7th edition of the aforementioned competition and Marius Helciu, marimba player who won third prize.

The two will alternately perform works by: Ney Rosauro, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig Albert, Alfredo Piatti, Gordon Stout and Alice Gomez.

Cellist Konstantin Borodin was born in 1994 in Chisinau, where he graduated from the "Ciprian Porumbescu" High School. He is a student at the National University of Music in Bucharest, in the class of Prof. Marin Cazacu. He won first prizes in the competitions: Paul Constantinescu, Mihail Jora, Alexandru Moroşanu and Drumul spre celebrite. He is a member of the Romanian Youth Orchestra. He was the beneficiary of an Erasmus scholarship, studying at the Royal Conservatory in Ghent, Belgium.

Marimba player Marius Helciu is 20 years old. He studies at the National University of Arts in Iași, in the class of Professor Simion Florian and has won 13 awards so far at national competitions, held in Galați, Bacău, Suceava, Piatra Neamț. Last year he won the 3rd prize at the "Road to Fame" Competition, at the Brancovenesc Palace in Mogoşoaia.
