She left Romania six months before the 1989 Revolution, initially settling in the Netherlands. Pianist Jan LustAfter studying music in Oudenaarde and Louvain, he studied at the Tel Aviv Academy of Music, where he had the Russian pianist Victor Derevianko as his teacher. He has given concerts and recitals in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, France, Israel, Lithuania, Ireland and Nigeria. He is the pianist of the Ensemble “Grupetto” and also forms the Ka Trio together with violinist Jo Vercruysse and clarinetist Evy Van Dongen. He is currently a piano and chamber music teacher at the Academy in Zottegem.
