The temporary exhibition, Harmony and Grandeur: Italian Art at Pele\u015f Castle, organized to bring to the attention of visitors the pieces of Italian art preserved in the royal collection - paintings, majolica, Murano glass, furniture, etc., continues a tradition of specialists to capitalize on the rich art treasure at the Pele\u015f National Museum.<\/p>\n
After the exhibition entitled German Neo-Renaissance at Pele\u015f Castle, the current event brings together in the exhibition halls copies of famous Renaissance artists: Filippo Lippi, Raphael, Titian, Tintoretto, admirable achievements of painters from the late 19th century, but also original works signed by authors of the Correggio school and the Florentine painter, Agnese Dolci.<\/p>\n
The sculpture is represented by Raffaello Romanelli and Aristide Petrilli. The art of Italian ceramics, marked by the importance of a technique consecrated on a European level, the majolica technique, will be exemplified by vases, plates, tea services, created during the 16th \u2013 19th centuries. The manufactures from Italy \u2013 Faenza, Torelli, Capodimonte, Richard Ginori, Alberto Issel from Genoa, etc. were appreciated by the pair of Romanian sovereigns. Venetian glass from Murano enjoys a special spectacularity, a manufacture whose fame in the technique of processing and coloring the pieces has crossed European borders.<\/p>\n
Italian furniture will be present through Florentine cassone, cabinets, Lombard and Savonarolla chairs, wardrobes, Venetian and Tuscan armchairs, ranging from the 16th century to the end of the 19th century, with an important role in the design of the neo-Renaissance environment of the royal residence in Sinaia.<\/p>\n
But above all, the color, richness, and interior atmosphere of the salons of yesteryear will define the harmony and grandeur of Italian art.<\/p>\n
