The Year of Kod\u00e1ly\u00a0<\/strong>marked\u00a0<\/strong>at Peles Castle<\/strong><\/p>\n

Saturday, May 20, 2017, from 4 p.m.<\/strong>, at Pele\u0219 Castle in Sinaia, under the auspices of the Kod\u00e1ly Year, holds a recital\u00a0The Energico Trio from Hungary<\/strong>The recital is part of the \u201cSound of Music\u201d Season, organized by the Pele\u0219 National Museum and the Union of Interpretive Creation of Musicians in Romania and is part of the tour organized by the Balassi Institute \u2013 Hungarian Institute in Bucharest between May 19-21.<\/p>\n

"Music is a soul food that nothing can replace. And he who does not consume music suffers and dies from soul anemia. Without music, soul life is incomplete. There are realms of the soul where only music can penetrate."<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 said Kod\u00e1ly Zolt\u00e1n (1882-1967), composer, folklorist, pedagogue, linguist and philosopher, one of the most prominent personalities of Hungarian culture in the 20th century. In agreement with these ideas, three students of the Liszt Ferenc University of Music in Budapest:\u00a0Ilosfai Csenge \u2013 violin, M\u00e1dy-Szab\u00f3 Eszter \u2013 cello, Vida M\u00f3nika Ruth \u2013 piano<\/strong>were founded in 2015\u00a0Energetic Trio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Thanks to youthful enthusiasm and talent\u00a0Energetic Trio<\/strong>\u00a0has won over both the public and the jury of various competitions since its first appearances in Hungary and abroad. In 2015, the trio won the Excellence Award at the Dohn\u00e1nyi Ern\u0151 Chamber Music Competition in Debrecen (Hungary) and the First Prize at the International Premio Citta di Padova (Italy), also performing in the Hungarian pavilion at EXPO Milano, and in 2016 it was invited to the Lancaster International Piano Festival (Great Britain) and was awarded the First Prize at the Danubia Talents Competition (Hungary). They have also participated in live broadcasts by the music channel Bart\u00f3k R\u00e1di\u00f3 and have given recitals at the Academy of Music, the Palace of Arts, the Institute of Musicology of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, respectively in Venice, Padua, Abano Terme, and in the United States of America where they participated in master classes with members of the Shanghai Quartet.<\/em><\/p>\n

Trio Energico supports this recital as a special guest at the awards gala of the 13th edition of the Hungarian Music Festival organized by the Balassi Institute - Hungarian Institute in Bucharest, a competition dedicated to young classical music performers from Romania, who propose a repertoire including works from Hungarian musical literature.<\/p>\n

At Pele\u0219 Castle, works by: Felix Mendelssohn, Zolt\u00e1n G\u00e1rdonyi, Zolt\u00e1n Kod\u00e1ly and B\u00e9la Bart\u00f3k will be performed.<\/p>\n
