Thus, between October 3 and 11, 2024, musicians and cultural figures:\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Rodica Vica<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 soprano (Austria\/Romania),\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Martiniana Antonie<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 mezzo-soprano (Germany\/Romania),\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Stefan Cazacu<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 cellist (Romania),\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Diana Ionescu<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 piano (Romania),\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Vlad Maistorovich<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 composer (Romania) and<\/span><\/span>\u00a0Dana Deac<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 journalist (Romania), come together to pay tribute to Romanian composers, proposing to the public a unique project that brings to light lesser-known and performed pieces. Also, a novelty of this tour is <\/span><\/span>The cycle of three songs<\/span><\/span> on lyrics by Noemi Marin for<\/span><\/span>voice, cello and piano specially composed by musician Vlad Maistorovici. The program includes pieces by George Enescu, George Steph\u0103nescu, Tiberiu Brediceanu, Ghe<\/span><\/span>R<\/span><\/span>ase Dendrino, <\/span><\/span>Paul Constantinescu and Vlad Maistoroivici. About the tournament:\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Romanian Young Virtuosos<\/span><\/span>\u00a0is a project intended to present to the general public lesser-sung or even unknown Romanian works, but especially to encourage young Romanian musicians,<\/span><\/span>started on the path to continue his training, taking as an example the youthful period of the Romanian composers of the 20th and 21st centuries. Through his generous gestures of support<\/span><\/span>e the young musicians of his time, through awards, promotion, mentoring and even financial aid for those in need, George Enescu is a model for us and also an inspiration for this project. The project focuses on the younger generation, especially the one in the musical field, being a project that brings together young Romanian musicians, already with an international career and who bring a manifesto for the even younger generation of musicians in Romania, also aspiring to an international career. This pro<\/span><\/span>iect is the result of research by soprano Rodica Vic\u0103 carried out in libraries and archives in Bucharest and Vienna. The project promotes an eclectic repertoire, including the youthful works of Romanian composers presented in new arrangements for two voices, cello and piano. Also, violinist and composer Vlad Maistorovici created <\/span><\/span>The cycle of three songs<\/span><\/span> on lyrics by Noemi Marin <\/span><\/span>for voice, piano and cello, a cycle that will be presented in its national premiere during the tour. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

RODICA VICA<\/span><\/span>\u00a0is an exceptional soprano, appreciated for the expressiveness and versatility of her voice, being considered one of the most promising artists of her generation. She debuted on the stage of the Bucharest National Opera in 2010, performing leading roles in landmark operas such as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni by WA Mozart, Rita by G. Donizetti, Rosina in The Barber of Seville by G. Rossini and Alcina by G. Fr. Haendel. From Monday<\/span><\/span>the end of his career,<\/span><\/span> Rodica<\/span><\/span> Vic\u0103 has won numerous awards at prestigious competitions, including the First Prize at the International Baroque Music Competition "La Stravaganza" in Cluj-Napoca, the Second Prize at the Romanian Radio Competition "The Road to Fame" and the Award for the best musical interpretation within the "Ion Dacian" Trophy for young performers. The soprano's artistic activity includes collaborations with important orchestras and philharmonics both from Romania and abroad. Among her achievements, note<\/span><\/span>balls are<\/span><\/span> include the world premiere of George Enescu's oratorio The Ghosts with the Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester Berlin at the Konzerthaus Berlin, under the baton of conductor Gabriel Bebe\u0219elea, and appearances at prestigious events such as the OTP Bank Gala at the Bela Bart\u00f3k-M\u00fcpa Hall in Budapest, Canto Barocco at Teatro La Fenice, and Antonio Vivaldi's Gloria with the Accademia Bizantina. Rodica Vic\u0103 has also performed in innovative projects such as La Lumiere Comique at the Budapest Early Music Festival and<\/span><\/span> BarRock<\/span><\/span>IN' Transylvania with the Musica Ricercata orchestra. Other important engagements include the performance of JS Bach's Matth\u00e4us Passion under the baton of Cristian M\u0103celaru at the Romanian Athenaeum and Poemes pour mi by Olivier Messiaen with the Transylvanian Philharmonic, conducted by Cristian Mandeal. The soprano was also invited to participate in the events organized as part of the Oedipus Month in London, including an evening preceding the premiere of Enescu's opera at the Royal Opera House Covent Garden. Rodica Vic\u0103 <\/span><\/span>to add<\/span><\/span>Her recent repertoire includes her debut in the roles of Violetta Valery in La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi and Fiorilla in Il Turco in Italia by Gioachino Rossini. Her projects <\/span><\/span>recently<\/span><\/span> include an international tour dedicated to the music of George Enescu, the modern premiere of the opera La Foresta D'Hermanstad by Valentino Fioravanti<\/span><\/span> and the performance of the role of Zima in the baroque opera Indiile galante directed by Andrei \u0218erban. The young mezzo-soprano\u00a0<\/span><\/span>MARTINIANA ANTONIE<\/span><\/span>\u00a0She began her musical journey as a student at the "Octav B\u0103ncil\u0103" National College of Art in Ia\u0219i and later as a student at the National University of Music in Bucharest, during which time she was also a scholarship holder of the Young Talents program of the Funda\u021bi<\/span><\/span>Her Royal Highness Princess Margaret of Romania. Martiniana's first foray into the world of Opera took place in 2017, at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro, when she debuted as a student of the renowned Rossini Academy "Albe<\/span><\/span>rto Zedda". After this success, she returned to the Rossini Festival as a guest in five other productions, the last appearance being this year, in the opera "Ermione". In 2018, Martiniana became a member of the Opera Studio of the National Theater in Mannheim, where for three years she will enrich her repertoire and experience.<\/span><\/span>Martiniana has won numerous national and international awards, including: Winner of the prestigious AsLiCo Competition in Como; Winner of the "Jeunes<\/span><\/span>Espoires\u201d in Avignon, France and 2nd Prize at the In Competition<\/span><\/span>International "George Enesco" in Paris. Throughout her career, Martiniana had the privilege of collaborating with famous artists, singers and conductors, such as: Carlo Rizzi, Michele Mariotti, Giacomo <\/span><\/span>Sagripanti, Gabriel Bebeselea, Alexander Soddy, Dmitry Korchak, Juan Diego Florez, Pretty Yende and Graham Vick. STEFAN CAZACU<\/span><\/span>\u00a0is a Romanian virtuoso cellist, recent laureate of important international competitions. In 2022 he won the 1st prize at the International Danube Festival \u2013 Donaufest (Ulm,<\/span><\/span> Germany) and the 3rd prize at the George Enescu International Competition (2020-2021 edition). Coming from a family of famous musicians, \u0218tefan benefited from a solid musical education from an early age. He studied at the National University of Music in Bucharest and in Vienna, where he perfected his technique and artistic expressiveness. His talent was recognized in international competitions, winning prestigious awards, including the Liezen Competition (Austria) and the Antonio Janigro Competition. <\/span><\/span>(Croatia), as well as the Grand Prix at the national selection for the Eurovision Young Musicians Contest (2010). \u0218tefan Cazacu has performed on numerous international stages including the Musikverein and Konzerthaus in Vienna, the Philharmonie in Paris, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Konzerthaus Berlin and the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. In Romania he has been applauded at the Romanian Athenaeum, the Radio Hall and the Bucharest National Opera. Throughout his career he has collaborated with all the major symphony orchestras in Romania, including<\/span><\/span>iv with the George Enescu Philharmonic, the National Radio Orchestra and the Radio Chamber Orchestra. He has also performed with the Chisinau Philharmonic and the Alicante Youth Orchestra. He has been accompanied by renowned conductors such as Cristian Mandeal, Horia Andreescu, Cristian M\u0103celaru and Theo Wolters. \u0218tefan Cazacu is also dedicated to pedagogy, teaching since 2020 at the National University of Music Bucharest and the Dinu Lipatti National College of Arts. DIANA IONESCU<\/span><\/span>, the pianist recognized for "<\/span><\/span>imposing pianistic skills and mature musicality<\/span><\/span>"(Musical Pointers), to note<\/span><\/span>by performing masterpieces from multiple eras, from the Baroque of Scarlatti and Bach, to the classical purity of Mozart and Schubert, to the grandeur of romantics and moderns such as Schumann, Rachmaninov and Stravinsky. Winner of the Grand Prize at the 2001 George Enescu International Piano Competition, Diana Ionescu enjoys an international career as a soloist, chamber musician, pedagogue and festival director. <\/span><\/span>He has received awards such as the Alexis Weissenberg Prize, the EWLE Mozart Prize <\/span><\/span>Best Live Recording and Second Prize at the Missouri Southern International Piano Competition. He has given recitals and concerts on prestigious stages, including Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, Royal Festival Hall, Romanian Athenaeum and Merkin Hall in New York. <\/a>VLAD H\u00ceRLAV MAISTOROVICH<\/span><\/span>, Romanian violinist, composer and conductor<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span>H\u00eerlav Maistorovici's compositions are sought after and appreciated. "Attractive and<\/span><\/span> resounding" (Musical America), full of "vivid contrasts" (London Financial Times) and<\/span><\/span> characterized by "plasticity of expression", his music appears in the repertoire of some<\/span><\/span> orchestras and artist<\/span><\/span>and world-class. In 2014, the project was resumed with video-mapping at the Amadeus International Festival in Sibiu\/Hermanstadt, under the direction of Christian<\/span><\/span> Badea. In 2023 Maistorovici conceived and directed the show<\/span><\/span> Metamorphoses: a musical journey into the world of MC Escher at the Kunstmuseum in The Hague<\/span><\/span> together with the New European Ensemble and the video artists' collective DeFrame on the occasion<\/span><\/span> anniversary of the great Dutch artist, which brings together the music of Bach, Webern, P\u00e4rt and<\/span><\/span>Maistorovich in<\/span><\/span>in a "musical\/visual spectacle par excellence, a very pleasant concert, with a<\/span><\/span> brilliant conception and execution\u201d (ArtsTalk Magazine). In 2024 he conducted with the Orchestra of<\/span><\/span> Radio Chamber his work Mic tesseract Harmonic and composed the work BACH,<\/span><\/span> passacaglia for solo violin, the essential work in the repertoire of the violin section of the<\/span><\/span>George Enescu International Competition.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

DANA DEAC<\/span><\/span>, journalist. From the beginning of 2007 until 2014, she held the position of Director of TVR 1. She is still a TV producer<\/span><\/span> at the public station. Between 1998 and 2006, she was a reporter, executive producer and presenter at the television stations Antena 1 and Antena 3, during which time she received numerous awards for her journalistic activity. Since 2013, she has been the president of the Orange Romania Foundation and for two years she has been the ambassador of the Oncology Patient Support Association. In 2023, she founded the Language Matters project, which is dedicated to training the critical thinking of young people in Romania. Dana Deac was decorated by King Mihai I of Romania<\/span><\/span>she is awarded high distinctions of the Royal House of Romania: "Nihil Sine Deo" and "Cross of the Royal House of Romania". She is a graduate of the Faculty of History and Philosophy, Philosophy-History Section and a doctoral student at the Doctoral School of Philosophy at the University of Bucharest.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
