After the incredible success of the signal concert that took place on June 11 at the Brâncovenesc Palace in Mogoșoaia, the protagonist of the traveling event –modern minstrel Nicolae Szekely, accompanied by five instruments particularlyspectacular, rarely present on Romanian stages: vihuela, lute, renaissance guitar, baroque guitar and archlute, will propose a unique journey, charged with the authenticity of a true journey through history, full of sonic beauties from the medieval and baroque periods. On this occasion, sounds imagined by great creators from several hundred years ago will be brought back to the attention of contemporary music lovers: Francesco da Milano, Adrian Le Roy, Diego Pisador, John Dowland, Giovanni Zamboni, Gaspar Sanz and many, many others.
Nicholas Szekely In 1987 he won first place at the National Classical Guitar Festival in Sinaia. After 1988 he settled in Hunedoara. In the 90s he organized the "Classical Guitar Days" festival. The luthier Gyorgy Lorinczi from Tg Mureş whetted his appetite for special instruments: the vihuela and the lute, instruments that captured his entire passion for music. He is active at medieval festivals in the country and participates in a master class with Hopkinson Smith, who reveals to him the secrets of the special technique of these instruments. He gave recitals of Renaissance music at: Neamţ Fortress, Corvin Castle, Fortified Church of Biertan, Students' Culture House in Bucharest, Râșnov Fortress, Bastion Tower in Cluj, Mediaș Evangelical Church. Nicolae Szekely's musical world persists in the medieval and Renaissance repertoire, of unsuspected richness and depth.
